Functional Forever wasn’t born in a lab — it was built through real transformation. In my early adult years, I was damaging my health with alcohol, drugs, and smoking until I reached a point where everything had to change. Through recovery, I rebuilt my life — redefining my values, habits, and identity from the ground up.
I quit smoking cold turkey on April 13, 1983 and turned to running as a way to cope, which evolved into a lifelong commitment to fitness, including marathons and triathlons over the past 40+ years. Along the way, I discovered that true health isn’t driven by a single habit, but by five core foundations — the Five Pillars of Foundational Health. Today, my mission is to help men aged 40–80 stop accepting decline and transform health from something they do… into who they are.
